I’m probably going to step on some toes here and I want to be very clear that this is a 100% judgement free post. Seriously ladies, I’m a huge fan of wine and coffee. Trust me! However, I noticed recently, when examining my relationship with food (and beverages) that I had been using it as an escape. Not only had I been “escaping” through coffee all morning and wine all evening, but I was surprisingly perfectly okay with that. I want to challenge us as moms. You can love your morning coffee. You can have a glass of wine because you want to enjoy it. But it’s a fine line we walk between wanting and NEEDING; between enjoyment and DESPERATION. We could talk about the health benefits of both wine and coffee. We could also talk about health risks of excessive alcohol and caffeine. I want to challenge you tonight to sit with this topic if it resonates. Do a little soul-searching. Ask yourself the hard questions. If you need a virtual hug or encouragement to do the work you need to do, I’m here! 💖
