Are YOU going to say YES???? ⁣

6 years ago, I started something. ⁣
⁣
It has been hard, but 𝗿𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴. As I removed the toxins in my home, I removed the toxins in my heart. As I grew as a leader, I grew as a human. To imagine my life outside of the community that I have created, makes me just a little sick. It’s truly one of the greatest 𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 of my life to be partnered with the incredible individuals that this business brought me. I simply cannot fathom where I would be had I not said YES, 6 years ago. ⁣
⁣
Now I’m looking to you. ⁣
Are YOU going to say 𝘆𝗲𝘀? ⁣
Tomorrow could be the first day of the rest of your life. You could look back on December 4th as the day your life changed; the day you found financial 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗼𝗺, 𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗲 for your family’s health, and a 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝗲 of world changers that you could link arms with. ⁣
Come on! Let’s do this. 𝗧𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿. ⁣
⁣
XOXO⁣

Those Were Not My People

Anyone else have that moment?⁣
I have a few that stick in my brain.⁣
⁣
Moments where someone made me feel like I was too much...⁣
Dreaming too big...⁣
Moving too fast...⁣
Talking too loud...⁣
Being too forceful...⁣
⁣
Due to my recent experiences with this (even since writing my book) here is my new plan:⁣
⁣
☝🏻I don’t revert to judgement. I give them grace. They must have had a really rough life to be spewing that kind of judgement on me.⁣
⁣
✌🏻I listen, but I don’t absorb. I can HEAR their words & quickly assess if it’s something I need to listen to... or if it’s just their issues that they are projecting onto me. ⁣
⁣
👌🏻I thank them for their concern, then go about my business. If any part of what they said was worthy of my reflection, then that’s something I assess between myself, my husband, and Jesus. To be frank, it’s just not anyone else’s concern! ⁣
⁣
Shine! 🌟⁣
Sparkle! ✨⁣
Be who you were created to be! 🔥⁣
We may be too much for some people, but remember...⁣
Those👏🏻
Are👏🏻
Not👏🏻
Our👏🏻
People👏🏻

STRENGTH STORY

12/1/2020

Picture
Did you know, that there’s only a 1 in 131 BILLION chance that there will be another person with the same exact strengths that you possess? ⁣
YOU are 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲! ⁣
You 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘁 be duplicated! ⁣
⁣
This past week I created something I’ve been avoiding and I’d like to share it with you all. ⁣
⁣
This is my Strengths Story...⁣
⁣
My name is Kourtney Walker-Owens, and I do everything in a way that honors my desire to move people forward.⁣
How I do that is by inspiring others with my visions of the future. I seek to take someone’s strengths and transform them into something even more superb. When faced with road blocks or different scenarios, I can easily spot relevant patterns or issues and create alternative ways to proceed that can still move toward the desired goal. I want to do important, impactful, and significant things in the world. I have the unique ability to prioritize actions and then act, always staying on track with goals. I find it easy to put my thoughts into words through writing and presenting. I can, and will, make things happen by taking thoughts or ideas and turning those into action. I don’t sit around and wait. I love winning others over. I get great satisfaction from making true connections with people. I am intrigued with the unique qualities of each person and have a gift for figuring out how people who are different can work together productively. I have an enthusiasm that is contagious. I am always on the lookout for the positives in every situation! ⁣
And I do all of this better than anyone else on the planet!⁣
⁣
When we know 𝘄𝗵𝗼 we are and what 𝗴𝗶𝗳𝘁𝘀 we bring to the table, we are able to step into our authentic selves. When we function through this authenticity, our lives begin to flow more easily. ⁣
⁣
Know who you are. ⁣
Remember who you are. ⁣
Love who you are.
.
PS
Thanks for the endless inspiration, @unleash_your_strengths

“Perhaps you were made for such a time as this”⁣

The Biblical story of Esther has always resonated with me. I mean. I literally named my daughter after this powerful woman in the Bible. 😆 Well. Last week, this shirt came in the mail from @ellyandgrace and my eyes instantly welled up with tears. I had ordered a couple weeks ago, knowing I would love it, but when I saw the words across the front... ⁣
⁣
“Perhaps you were made for such a time as this”⁣
⁣
...it was like God was speaking those words right to my heart, as I stood in my kitchen.⁣
⁣
That reminder was exactly what I needed as I basically re-launch my business this next week and shoot for a huge, 6-years-coming kinda goal over the next 4 months. 💎 I was made for this. I am brave enough, smart enough, talented enough, and prepared enough. I have everything I need. I will persevere, day after day. I will lay this great feat at 𝘏𝘪𝘴 feet. I will have favor, every step of the way. ⁣Everything is coming together.
⁣
Don’t forget. There are tasks and goals and moments that you were literally MADE FOR. Follow your heart. Listen to Spirit. And let’s do the things that have our names written 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 them.
XOXO

Faith > Fear

Faith > Fear⁣
⁣
It’s the theme I run into often {read: daily} as a mom, wife, entrepreneur, leader, and HUMAN. And right now, you better believe it’s a constant struggle. But I have a choice. ⁣
⁣
Do I choose to 𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 my vibration, my immune system, my emotions, and my mental capacity? Because whether we like it or not, THAT IS WHAT 𝗙𝗘𝗔𝗥 DOES. ⁣
⁣
Or...⁣
Do I choose to 𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲 that vibe, boost that immune system, heal my body and emotions, and kick my brain up a notch just by leaning into 𝗙𝗔𝗜𝗧𝗛? Faith is believing in the unseen; hoping when it feels hopeless; seeing something that no one else can see. ⁣
⁣
“Sometimes life is about risking everything for a dream no one can see but you!”⁣
⁣
I’ll see you that quote (that 9/10 entrepreneurs have on their vision board) and raise you the power of another person believing 𝘞𝘐𝘛𝘏 you. ⁣
I’ll believe with you. I’ll hope with you.⁣
What are you holding onto faith for right now? ⁣

ACTION

This week, I have spent most of my time in ACTION. Even amidst jet lag, there was ALL. THE. ACTION.
.
When I’m in this place, I’m in the zone; I’m operating in my strengths. I have never been one to just sit. You can confirm this with my mother. My brain never rests. I have never been someone who just wants to talk about things. In my Clifton Strengths assessment, the following words are a part of my top ten: futuristic, maximizer, activator, focus... ACTION words! Even in seemingly silent stillness, my brain is moving onto my next step. I’m looking into the future. I’m always planning. I’m always moving. While my undiagnosed (but obvious) ADHD can be a struggle in group texts and conversations in loud rooms... the fact that my brain is always a million places at once means there is always forward movement. This is a guarantee.
.
Rest is work for me. It’s needed work, but takes effort nonetheless. And sleep? Oh boy. Sleep is a REQUIREMENT. When I sleep, my body recovers & my brain gets a break. So, for my fellow friends of action, I want to share my MOST FAVORITE trick for turning my brain off at night...
.
✨ I take 1 Adaptiv capsule, 1-2 Serenity softgels, and 1 Copaiba softgel about 30-45 minutes before I want to sleep. This combo helps my body’s stress response, reduces inflammation, soothes my emotions, and calms my brain. I wake up rested. It’s like a post-workout recovery for my thoughts.
✨ I begin diffusing Black Spruce (remember Thursday’s post?) and Serenity about 30 minutes before I want to sleep. Black Spruce helps me take deep breaths + release fears and stress. It’s restorative for my adrenals. Serenity is calming and promotes restful sleep.
✨ I do something that doesn’t require THOUGHT for that 30-45 minutes. I put on my blue ray glasses if it involves screens, so that that type of light doesn’t disrupt the rest I’m working so hard for. I may watch tv, scroll Instagram, read something for FUN, hang with my husband... whatever I do, it doesn’t require planning, to-do lists, or goals. I just get to be.
.
This simple, but needed routine helps me find REST, before I wake up ready for more action! ⚡️

Calm the Storm

Do you ever feel like your life is juuuuuust a little crazy? 🙋🏻‍♀️
Today there were meetings, important things I couldn’t let go another day, relationships that I had to prioritize, kids who needed my attention, AND THEN the “perfect storm” evening ahead of baseball, basketball, cheerleading, and gymnastics. And that’s before an upline team call we’re guest speaking on after bedtime! 😅 .
How do I do it all?
✨Deep breaths
✨Lifelong Vitality supplements
✨Nourishing food
✨Drinking 80-100 oz of water
✨Oils for stress and focus
.
My favorite oils to diffuse or apply topically for stress: Adaptiv, Frankincense, Copaiba, Balance, Wild Orange, Stronger, and Serenity.
.
My favorite oils to diffuse or apply topically for focus: InTune, Peppermint, Rosemary, and Thinker
.
Hope your day is a little less crazy than mine! Here’s to mom life! 🥂

Don't Give Up

I’m posting this as much for me as I am for you, today.
Whether you’re facing little things or big things. And let’s face it sometimes the little things FEEL like big things and the big things feel IMPOSSIBLE. Whatever you do... DON’T. GIVE. UP.
.
I’m looking at an impossible situation right now, but I KNOW that if I give up {like I secretly want to} that I’ll regret not giving it one, last try.
.
Life is hard. Some days it’s the worst. Sometimes, the only thing keeping me going, is the fact that I‘VE DONE HARD THINGS BEFORE! Remember when that diagnosis was the worst day of your life? That was nothing. Keep going. Remember when you wanted to drive off that bridge? You didn’t. Keep going. Remember when nobody thought you could? You did. Keep going. Remember when it felt like everything was falling apart beneath you? It didn’t. Keep going.
.
TAG SOMEONE WHO YOU DON’T WANT TO GIVE UP! 💜 You are not alone. Keep pushing. Keep healing. Keep growing. Don’t quit. Pretty please, just don’t quit.
XOXO, Kourt

CREATE

Get into the habit of asking...⁣
“Does this support the life I’m trying to create?”⁣
⁣
This has been EXACTLY my question since December. I ask this, then I stop. Because it is at that very moment that I have overwhelming gratitude for the very fact that I 👏🏻 GET 👏🏻 TO 👏🏻 CREATE 👏🏻 the life and business of my dreams. It is an outlandish and equally beautiful privilege that I sometimes take for granted.⁣
⁣
Every day, I get a choice. And to be really honest, I chose a long time ago, that my best life was not in working for someone else. My best outcome was in following the dreams and visions that God had placed in my heart. ⁣
⁣
For a while, that looked like being a stay at home, homeschool momma. Then, that looked like Childbirth Education and Doula work. It looked like starting a dōTERRA business and rocking all of the above for a couple years after that.⁣
⁣
In December though, I felt this deep, almost desperate need to shift my energy. I rearranged furniture. I painted walls. I did a cleanse. I evaluated systems in my business. I prepped for 2020 with @hol_fit ‘s Beautiful Life Lab. Then I was accepted into a training with @allyse_sedivy in Prague that would be in early February. ⁣Momentum was officially shifted. 😂
⁣
For 8 weeks now, I have been growing and learning and educating and investing in 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 like my life depends on it. Because it does. The life that I am dreaming of depends on me doing the things; taking the steps; saying yes when it’s a yes and no when it’s a no. I get to choose what it looks like! ⁣
⁣
It’s time to create, my friends! Make it exactly what you’ve dreamed of! 💜

Recipe For The Hard Days

11/19/2020

Picture
Here’s what I know:
I don’t have the answers.
😳
I’m sure that’s shocking. Lol. But I don’t. Sometimes life feels out of control! As an Enneagram 3, I like to be IN CONTROL, as much as possible. Because if I’m out of control, that’s “not successful”. And if my life is a mess, then “I’m a failure”. Or at least that’s the story I tell myself.
🤷🏻‍♀️
But here’s the deal.
When I have come to the end of MY knowledge and MY solutions and I FINNNNNALLY say “God, I need your strength and wisdom here, because I literally have nothing left”... that’s when the magic happens. And I imagine Him to respond like I do, after watching my 3 year old use all her ideas to reach something up high... when she FINALLY gives in and says “mommy will you help me?” OF COURSE I’m going to help her. OF COURSE she gets a smile and a big, tight hug. I’ve just been waiting for her to ASK ALREADY!
🥰😭
Here’s my recipe for the hard days, when you’ve reached the end of your rope:
1. Lifelong Vitality supplements + the new Adaptiv supplement
2. Order tacos 🌮
3. Get some quiet, alone time in the car while you go pick up said tacos
4. Diffuse Adaptiv + Black Spruce in the car ASAP
5. Before you drive away, Roll Adaptiv + Wild Orange + Peppermint Touch in your hands, then run your hands through your hair + pull it up into a top knot (aka get it OFF YOUR NECK FOR THE LOVE) and let your hair be the diffuser for your brain.
6. As you drive, feel free to cry + yell + tell God how done you are with this BS. He’s GOD. He can take it.
7. Listen to him say “Sure! Np! I was just waiting for you to ask for help!”
8. Eat those tacos and get to work. He’s got your back. 💥

    Interests
I love to craft. I love to decorate. I am passionate about natural living & natural birthing. Sometimes I write stuff. I plan parties like my life depended on it. My favorite color is pink. My house is definitely NOT taupe. I typically cannot keep plants alive. I am only allowed to have dogs as pets because all others tend to have the same end result as the plants. Luckily my track record with kids is pretty good! Also, I drink a lot of coffee. And I really like tacos.
