Mid-Summer Update!

7/7/2018

Those of you that know the extent of our Spring & Summer to this point will know how freaking excited I am about what I’m about to share.

We’ve felt so overwhelmed these past few months. One major thing after another was breaking. We had a dog who kept bringing fleas into the house and we couldn’t get on top of it. I had to step back from our business (which is not to a completely residual place yet) for a bit to do some self-care & healing, which meant our finances were no bueno. It felt like we couldn’t withstand one more thing, but now little by little, we are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

🙌🏻 We are almost FINALLY caught up with laundry after getting a new-to-us washer last weekend (after not having a washer since March when it broke while I was out of town). I hope the only time in the future that we have to load up our van to spend $50 and hours at the laundromat is after a long vacation.

🙌🏻 I think... we maybe... got on top of the flea situation today, after months of issues! Both dogs are clear, there’s no more carpet on our stairs (where they were apparently living 🤢), carpet upstairs is being steamed, and I’m low on both Cedarwood & TerraShield. Lol. Also, we are now surprisingly OUT of Peppermint oil, which is a day I never thought I’d see. 😂 Dogs will be bathed again tonight after floors are clear just to be safe & fresh bandanas with oils will be applied to prevent further isssues. Aaaaand no more dogs upstairs, permanently. I’m letting Eli keep Dusty at the moment (the initial flea-infested dog, thanks to his constant escaping into the woods to “play”) but he is on a short leash. Literally.

🙌🏻 Michael tackled 2 major backyard situations this afternoon. There are 3 more urgent ones that were started in the spring that we have to finish still, but I’m just grateful we are making progress! It might seem odd that I’m mentioning this, but our TIME has been sabotaged for MONTHS. The weight of unfinished projects staring at you in the face is the worst!

🙌🏻 (This is a big one!) I’ve been awake & present for all of this!!! I’m feeling so much better. Like... my body & brain are actually functioning again after likely about 4 years of disfunction & barely surviving!! I’m getting back to my usual busy self, but with complete intention... not just to be busy. I’m having new ideas & am strategizing again! I’m enjoying my kids, reading to them, playing with them, talking about birthday parties. I actually have energy to be a mom like I used to! More & more progress!!! Every day, I feel more like myself! I am so thankful for an phenomenal friend & doctor who has helped me get to the root of all this PLUS the amazing oils & supplements that are helping me get on track! Take that, trauma!! I’m coming back!!

The season of chaos is finally beginning to come to a close!!! Hooray!!!! We’re praying our way through a few situations, and they’re definitely major, but with me feeling better & our dōTERRA business on the upswing, I feel like we are going to have a completely different July & August!! 🙌🏻 April-June was apparently just preparation time!

I am a mommy of  SEVEN (yes 7) beautiful kids! They are amazing, wonderful, hilarious & the greatest babies I could ask for! I am married to my best friend & high school sweetheart, Michael.

In 2010 I began a blog as an outlet for my writing... and also to talk about how cute my kids were. I had no idea where it would take me. In 2012, after the birth of our 5th child, we began Wonderfully Made Birth. That same year, we received an Autism diagnosis for our 3rd child. A year later, in 2013, we joined doTERRA International as Wellness Advocates. The journey is not easy, but it is ours. Join me as I record our crazy life, inspire other mommas, & laugh along the way!

    Interests
I love to craft. I love to decorate. I am passionate about natural living & natural birthing. Sometimes I write stuff. I plan parties like my life depended on it. My favorite color is pink. My house is definitely NOT taupe. I typically cannot keep plants alive. I am only allowed to have dogs as pets because all others tend to have the same end result as the plants. Luckily my track record with kids is pretty good! Also, I drink a lot of coffee. And I really like tacos.
