𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘣 1. to come into or be in full beauty or health; flourish. In my back yard, I have this crepe myrtle shrub that has taken FOREVER to fully bloom. 8 years, to be exact. There’s this understanding, in gardening, that it takes a few years to get a FULL BLOOM from your plants. The 1-3 years, you may get some flowering, but it slowly continues to build. Each year, you see more growth; more color; more blooming. 8 years is a little much. Lol. Due to the soil, pests, and environmental threats out of my control, I actually had a year or two, where this thing never even flowered. Despite all of this, as the gardener, I continued to enrich the soil, water the roots, pull the weeds, make sure it gets sun, prune the dead branches, and protect it in the harsh winters. I did not give up on the plant. And this year? This year it is absolutely thriving! It’s about to have its first full bloom and I am a proud momma gardener! 😂🥰 I’ve been cultivating my own environment for “blooming” for years now. I’ve developed solid self-care routines, removed toxins, found a food plan that works really well for my body, and established a foundation of physical, emotional, and mental health. I’ve been in a season of growth for some time, mostly because I’m obsessed with personal development. I’ve worked for years in my business- learning about my own leadership style, learning how to lead others who are different from me, and letting go of winning over the people who simply aren’t “my people”. It’s all been leading up to this. 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶? Are you blooming in your environment? Do you need to pull out the toxic “weeds” (people, products, etc) draining nutrients from you? Do you need a little more self-care? Do you need to just have patience and rest in God’s timing for you? Don’t give up on the full bloom! Keep working. Keep cultivating. Your health is worth it. Your business is worth it. Your family is worth it. 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗛 𝗜𝗧.

Interests
I love to craft. I love to decorate. I am passionate about natural living & natural birthing. Sometimes I write stuff. I plan parties like my life depended on it. My favorite color is pink. My house is definitely NOT taupe. I typically cannot keep plants alive. I am only allowed to have dogs as pets because all others tend to have the same end result as the plants. Luckily my track record with kids is pretty good! Also, I drink a lot of coffee. And I really like tacos. |
