Well, we arrived home from Florida. We settled in, sent kids to school, and then started construction on our house, the same week that we decorated for Christmas and began end of the semester madness. We made THIS... Into THIS... If there's one thing that I would bet makes every mother everywhere a hot mess, it is renovations and construction in your home. For the past two weeks, there has been banging, dust, checking on progress, and gently asking how soon it would be finished.
This is phase one of a two year renovation project. We built a temporary wall in our family room, splitting it in half. On one side, now is a cozy, little, family space. On the other side, is my bedroom for now. We are rearranging the kid's rooms upstairs to better accommodate our family. When we moved in back in the summer of 2010, our 8 year old was 6 months old. We have since added 3 more children and have much larger versions of the kids we had then. Tweens and teens are needing more personal space. Little ones are needing more structure and organization. So, new rooms, here we come! More updates coming your way in the coming months...

Interests
I love to craft. I love to decorate. I am passionate about natural living & natural birthing. Sometimes I write stuff. I plan parties like my life depended on it. My favorite color is pink. My house is definitely NOT taupe. I typically cannot keep plants alive. I am only allowed to have dogs as pets because all others tend to have the same end result as the plants. Luckily my track record with kids is pretty good! Also, I drink a lot of coffee. And I really like tacos. |
