I’m probably going to step on some toes here and I want to be very clear that this is a 100% judgement free post. Seriously ladies, I’m a huge fan of wine and coffee. Trust me! However, I noticed recently, when examining my relationship with food (and beverages) that I had been using it as an escape. Not only had I been “escaping” through coffee all morning and wine all evening, but I was surprisingly perfectly okay with that. I want to challenge us as moms. You can love your morning coffee. You can have a glass of wine because you want to enjoy it. But it’s a fine line we walk between wanting and NEEDING; between enjoyment and DESPERATION. We could talk about the health benefits of both wine and coffee. We could also talk about health risks of excessive alcohol and caffeine. I want to challenge you tonight to sit with this topic if it resonates. Do a little soul-searching. Ask yourself the hard questions. If you need a virtual hug or encouragement to do the work you need to do, I’m here! 💖
When I was a little girl, I watched Cinderella on repeat. I was captivated. When the step-sisters couldn’t carry a tune, I rolled my eyes. When the wicked step-mother destroys her mother’s dress so Cinderella can’t go to the ball, I cried too. My heart still melts when she meets Prince Charming. Even as an adult, I still get goosebumps when the duke comes, the slipper shatters, and then Cinderella says “but you see, I have the other slipper!” Cue music.
Two things I still love about my childhood favorite movie... the dream and the comeback. She would look out her window at the castle, hoping and dreaming of the day when she could escape; when she could live the life she was meant for. But Cinderella didn’t just dream. She put feet to that dream (glass slippered feet to be exact). Her fairy godmother spoke hope over her story and Cinderella hopped in an enchanted pumpkin to make her dreams happen. It didn’t come together right away. A lot of crap went down between the dream and the comeback. But she held on. She grasped that one slipper and didn’t let go. Then when everything shattered, she knew this was the moment. Boom! The comeback!
If I may, let me be your fairy godmother today. Let me breathe a little hope over your story.
ITS GOING TO HAPPEN. Everything will come together. Your dreams are not in vain. They were put in your heart for a purpose. They were placed there for the right time. Be patient. Work on yourself. You may need new tools and skills for the dream season. You may need growth to be able to step into the dream. Sometimes our dream come a few sizes too big. Maybe it’s just time for a growth spurt. Or maybe it’s about time for that comeback. You’ve got this. Hang in there. Keep dreaming. Keep working. It’s coming.
While I’m on the topic of daily routines, let’s talk about my supplement game. A while back I filled you in on the oils I take internally each day for my overall health (pink flower with oils lined up, if you’re scrolling to find it) but here’s what else I’m taking daily:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
💊 Microplex VMZ. This supplement is like nature’s multivitamin. It has daily nutrients that are vital to our health & wellness, plant based, and loosely packed for optimal absorption. It’s not a super-vitamin, giving way too much that our bodies then need to flush out. It’s also not your typical, cheap multivitamin that’s giving minimal amounts of those nutrients.
❤️ xEO Mega. This is all your healthy omegas, fish oils and essential oils to support joints, cardiovascular health, and brain health. My favorite part is that I’m getting those benefits without burping up fish all day! ❌ 🐟
🔆 Alpha CRS. This is a cellular vitality complex. Basically, these are the no more brain fog, clear thinking, sleeping better, more energy, not sick as much, antioxidants, and DNA protection capsules. Sold!
🦠 PB Assist. It’s a pre AND probiotic, helping to add high quality, absorbable, healthy bacteria to the entire gut. This helps with brain health, hormone health, and immune health... just to name a few. ⠀
🧻 TerraZyme. These are my digestive enzymes. Yes that’s a TP emoji. They help my body break down foods like gluten and dairy, along with many others that may not be digesting properly. They also help me to absorb nutrients fully. If I’m gonna drink a green smoothie every morning, you better believe I don’t want one ounce of that kale wasted. 😆⠀⠀⠀
⚡️ Deep Blue Ployphenol Complex. I can’t say enough good things about this one. It zaps the inflammation I experience after a workout... or due to stress... or after wrestling a toddler into a car seat!
💪🏻 OnGuard PLUS. This is OnGuard oil + Melissa, Black Pepper, and Oregano oils. It’s an immune support powerhouse, helping my body work how it’s supposed to! 🙌🏻
I am a mommy of SEVEN (yes 7) beautiful kids! They are amazing, wonderful, hilarious & the greatest babies I could ask for! I am married to my best friend & high school sweetheart, Michael.
I love to craft. I love to decorate. I am passionate about natural living & natural birthing. Sometimes I write stuff. I plan parties like my life depended on it. My favorite color is pink. My house is definitely NOT taupe. I typically cannot keep plants alive. I am only allowed to have dogs as pets because all others tend to have the same end result as the plants. Luckily my track record with kids is pretty good! Also, I drink a lot of coffee. And I really like tacos.
